Bitcoin Genesis Block Hidden Message

Satoshi Nakamoto released Bitcoin as open-source software in 2009 almost 10 years a secret message has been found in the crypto’s genesis block. Is seems as though Satoshi had hidden a cryptic message with his cryptocurrency.

The genesis block revealed to message:

“sknab roftuoliab dnoces fo knirb no rollecnahC 9002/naJ/30 semiT ehT”.

While the code is easy to decipher it’s message makes a clear statement. When the secret message is reversed:

“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks”.

The fact that there is a hidden message in the genesis block is not a surprise as enthusiast and experts are well aware of the cryptic inklings of Satoshi. This style is prevalent in Satoshi’s writing.

Experts explain that the delay in finding the message is due to it being written in an encrypted hexadecimal format. While the message was easy to decrypt, finding it was another process.

After the crypto experts analyzed the message, they believe that it is tied to the global financial crisis of 2008. The “Great Recession” was catalyzed by the United States real-estate market crash, instigated by the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis of 2007 to 2009, with other countries contributing and experiencing the effects of the fallout. The crash resulted in the supply of valuable assets being scarce and in order to remain afloat, the banks were bailed out by the U.S. government. This was enacted by former POTUS George W. Bush, with the program, Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), where the United States government purchased toxic assets and equity from financial institutions.

With the message from Satoshi, it can be speculated that Bitcoin is a reaction to the bailouts, due to the fact that the banking sector was the cause of the financial crisis. Bitcoin could be assumed as a solution from repeating this mistake, however it seems the banking sector has not learned its lesson and have relabeled subprime loans as nonprime loans.
