U.S.-based Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange announced that they will list 0x’s native ZRX token on their premium Coinbase Pro platform. The 0x project provides an infrastructure layer for financial stacks built on a foundation of Ethereum token standards. 0x’s protocol is designed for a variety of uses for developers working on gaming, prediction markets, order books, decentralized loans, and stablecoins.
U.S.-based 0x, detailed in a blog post, that their token, ZRX, will first be launched on Coinbase Pro, followed by Coinbase and their mobile app.
Coinbase Pro’s official Twitter posted:
“ZRX is launching on Coinbase Pro! The ZRX/USD, ZRX/BTC, and ZRX/EUR order books have entered transfer-only mode. Traders can deposit ZRX, but cannot yet place or fill orders. Order books will remain in transfer-only mode for at least 12 hours.”
Initially ZRX will be available for USD, EUR and BTC trading pairs, but this will come after enough user deposits have supplied sufficient liquidity. The trading pairs will be available throughout most of America, with New York being a notable exception.
Paradex a peer-to-peer ERC20 relay, that is built on 0x’s protocol, was acquired by Coinbase, earlier this year, however unexpectedly, Coinbase will not process ZRX through Paradex. Coinbase will directly integrate the token with Coinbase Pro, even with the recent announcement that Paradex is migrating to the 0x V2 protocol. However, Paradex praised 0x developers’ “highly collaborative and responsive” partnership.
