Exodus,cCrypto trading platform and wallet services provider, has added support for Ripple (XRP) and TrueUSD (TUSD), in a response to increase demand for the altcoin and the stablecoin.
Exodus stated a blog post on August 17, 2018:
“You can now send, receive, and exchange to and from Ripple in Exodus. This is not a drill; Ripple is now supported in Exodus. We’ve been looking forward to writing these words for quite some time now and are overjoyed to finally share the good news.”
With enthusiastic supporters of the cryptocurrency, Ripple stated the this news comes with the announcement that they have been “perfecting the Ripple wallet”.
XRP has seen a major sell-off which has dropped the coins standing from second to third on the cryptocurrency chart. This drop happened despite Ethereum (ETH) poor performance as of late.
However, at the time of writing, XRP has risen 7.5% to $0.35, while its market cap stood at $13.7 billion. This seems to be in alignment with the rest of the crypto market, as they are recovering from the slump experienced on Saturday.
Exodus also announced the support for TrueUSD, the coin aligned to the US dollar, which is also used as a stablecoin for sending, receiving and exchanging.
“A TUSD token is worth 1 USD. Fiat-backed cryptocurrencies are pretty stable and are something which the users of the platform had been asking for from quite a long time.”
As well as supporting the two coins, the company commented that Mac users can now instantly update their wallets in-app. The company is also developing a way to extend the service to Window users.
